GREAT boots!, February 3, 2011 This review is from: dav Women's Quilted English Knee-High Boot (Apparel) After returning a pair of Hunter boots because they felt too narrow on my calf, I tried these on in a store but they didn't have my size. I found them online and ordered a size smaller than I usually wear (ordered a size 7, but I'm usually an 8) and they fit perfectly! They fit well with a thick sock for colder days, but also fit nicely with a thinner sock for spring. The "quilting" at the top adds a nice layer of detail. The gunmetal color is nice because it works well with black, brown, grey, etc. The inside also has a thin soft, almost fuzzy (but doesn't shed) lining. Not really for insulation, just so your socks and skin aren't rubbing against the rubber. I would definitely recommend these boots!

I purchased the dav Women's Quilted English Knee-High Boot in size 5 in the gunmetal color. I have been on a wild goose chase for a pair of decent rainboots, and I am extremely happy to say that the search has finally ended with the dav Women's Quilted English Knee-High Boots. I hope the information I provide will be helpful. I was hesitant to size down by one size (as indicated by other reviews I saw online), but boy am I glad I did. I am usually a size 6, but I bought a size 5 and I found that they are still pleasantly roomy. Furthermore, the dav Women's Quilted English Knee-High Boots are so comfortable. They have a soft fleecy lining and also a removable padded insert on the bottom. The characteristics I was looking for were that the boot be knee high, somewhat shiny, and sturdy. After reading the Reviews for Hunter boots I found that maybe there was something better out there-and more unique seeing as a ton of people have those boots nowadays. I found this Dav boot had all the qualities I was looking for and the price was waaay more reasonable. This boot is awesome!
It's tall and covers my calves completely, the color looks black from a distance but up close there's all kinds of glittery prettiness! but not overkill. and the quilting at the top really gives this boot some added coolness. The sole is chunky but not like other boots you see out there. There's some great arch support and padding in the inside sole as well. Loving the soft lining too.
